I want somebody to take the job and that be it. Quarterback is not a concern of mine. I don’t think it’s a concern of anybody else on this team or this staff.

We’ve bent over backward to do everything that we can to make this happen, … including going down the day of the game.

I told them to be careful, behave themselves and go by and see their (high school) coaches while they are home. And don’t come back sunburned.

Obviously we’re disappointed with the results of the last game, … But as I told our football team, there’s still much to play for, our pride and respect. Who knows what’s going to happen down...

I don’t know that we have been as dynamic offensively as I thought we would to this point.

I learned a lot last year about myself, and about even these last five months, of handling this whole scenario.

Rick told me to put him in and that he’d get it done. He was mad as heck at me and should have been. I was wrong. I’ve been wrong before, and I’ll be wrong...

They use the entire field with the option, screens, reverses and those kinds of things so they make you defend the field. They make you play pretty much assignment football like the old veer or...

I think we’ve done everything we can to make this work.

We were the youngest defense in the conference at the beginning of the year. I am encouraged about our defensive front. Our three linebackers will all be seniors. In the secondary, we will be I...

I was really happy, and I’m almost hesitant to say this, because every time I brag on him, he goes the other way, but Jon Wade just played really impressive (Monday) night,

That’s one of those freaky things. I don’t know how to talk about that. We just take (them) each one at a time. You don’t even think about those other than the personnel that’s back...

Shockley is just a really great football player. I hated to see him come in the game when he came in (off the bench) before when he was playing sparingly. Now we’re going to have...

We’d very much like to keep that (bowl streak) alive, but right now we just need a darn good win.

Unacceptable. It starts with me, goes through the staff and then through the players and everybody associated with Tennessee football.

Obviously we’re very disappointed in the loss. I thought we had a really great week of preparation coming into the game. Defensively, I thought we played well enough to win the ball game.

We will not put our athletes at risk at all.

Last year was kind of our turn to get one of those, I guess.

The only thing exciting that happened today, Stanley did it. That’s a sad state of affairs when you talk about the entire day with our receivers.

That’s why we have instant replay, to get the call right, … I thought the ball hit the ground the first time I saw it.

We’ll see how he does.

Reggie was one of those guys who represented all that is good about football and athletics. He was a man of great principle, who obviously carried his faith out front. I don’t know if there’s...

It was good we had an extra week of practice. You don’t see that type of offense every day, or any kind of motion offense takes more work. They’ve (the defense) certainly taken the challenge....

Florida did a good job getting what they needed to get done,

Their quarterback played outstanding. I hugged his neck after the game.

The coaching just gets stronger and stronger.

He didn’t give a reason. I just wished him well.

I think Erik has a lot of the same qualities that Peyton Manning had when he came in as a freshman and sophomore, … Erik has the ability to be, I think, one of the...

We’re keeping the ball,

Britton has got to prove he’s a big-time kicker.

We have made every effort to help Daniel work through some issues, … Unfortunately, we have decided it ‘ s in everyone ‘ s best interest to go our separate ways.

Some good things, some not good. The interceptions just really hurt. The grounding ? he needs to move around in the pocket,

We’ve been very unfortunate during the course of the year to not have anything good happen to us offensively.

I’m going to defer to not answering that right now. It’s a good question.

We have a lot of work to do when we go back home. ‘ It’s a tough loss, but it’s not the end of the season.
