It’s set up just perfectly. It’s great for the guys that came here to get ready for Augusta.

I do have Bermuda Dunes (today, which I think is the course that most people have been going low on. So I need to shoot 8 or 9-under par to really have a good run...

It was a fight for me to stay in the lead, given the way it started. I thought that was a success.

You mean out of the five matches I lost. Is that what you’re referring to?

This is one of my favorite weeks. There’s a feeling we get at this course, with this many people, that we don’t get anywhere else.

It was a fun day, a fun start.

The defense of the golf course was back up — the wind. It was much more difficult and hard to get the ball close. There were a lot more wayward drives, the wind just takes...

I played well. It was fun to hit shots and have them end up where I wanted them to and end up making the putts. It was a fun first three rounds. I came out...

It has been a lot of work. I still feel as though there is a lot of value in the proper preparation.

Although we had some under-par rounds, we also had perfect conditions. The fairways dried out, and we were able to hit the ball out there, get to the greens. I’m concerned about tomorrow’s round with...

Three for nine sounds better, huh? I would say the reason is that I have started to prepare better for these tournaments and that I am in better control of my game now.

I actually have been hitting good shots. I’m playing OK. I hit a couple of shots I was lucky to get away with. I kept it in play with one or two exceptions, and I...

I feel very confident with how I’m playing. I’m trying to take that momentum and carry it over here to Firestone, and the reason I like playing here so much right after last week is...

I just wish we would play against each other more often. I think the new schedule in ’07 does that. Not as much as I would like, but it does it more.

Three for nine sounds better, huh?

It was hard-fought. It was just trying to fight a very difficult golf course. So there was certainly a sense of relief. Sometimes things don’t always go your way and you just have to gut...

When No. 14 happened, where he ended up having a little mishap there … You don’t want to win like that. If he knocks that first putt in, we would’ve had one heck of a...

I have been reviewing at nights the notes I made for next week’s course so I haven’t been worrying about here too much, which may have contributed to some poor play.

I’d like to say one thing about the changes (to the course). I really like them.

You’re making this sound like that was the apex. The way I look at it is I was trying to get my game sharp for this week and I think it’s fairly sharp now.

I felt very confident last year going into the majors. I feel similarly this week in that the biggest difference is I feel like I know which way my misses are going to be with...

It’s an amazing feeling to be the winner and to be able to hold this trophy.

As much as I want to be a part of the history of this tournament and a part of the history of the great game of golf, it’s not something I dwell on. I really...

I look forward to it. It’s no screwy tournament. I look forward to playing it. I like the need for aggressive play.

I’ll be hitting first. I’ll be hoping to get my irons sharp.

[To say] it’s remarkable is really not even a fair assessment.

Everybody is going to make mistakes, but sometimes it’s hard to forget about it and let it go. The thing that I was most pleased with was the way I was able to let go...

I thought we had won, because I’m an idiot and didn’t read the rules of the game. Captain Nicklaus told me on 15 there were no ties. Still didn’t get it.

I’m taking the 3-iron out more and more because I’m able to hit the 4-wood about a 3-iron distance, but I also have a lot more variety of shots with it.

I was trying to get the last one to pull even with him. But I just couldn’t quite do it.

It was a shot that I struggled with out of the rough this week. I tried to remember some of the shots I hit as a kid in my backyard. I hit it aggressively, and...

The next major isn’t for another seven months. I just want to relish this, and enjoy the fact that for the next seven months, I’m the most recent major winner.

I’ve learned a lot. But it’s not like I could just cram that into a year and have it all down. It’s taken me years of seeing what’s worked well and what hasn’t.

We don’t hear about him much, but as a player, we know he’s a great player. He’s a talented individual and I have a tough match now.

Understand, if you give anybody enough shots, they’ll eventually beat you. I didn’t want them to be intimidated. So I just hit a couple in the water to show them that it’s OK. They relaxed...

I see both sides. There are ways to create a lot more revenue, but there’s also the appeal of having it be a true municipal course that you don’t want to lose sight of either.

I’m still trying to find something that works the best for that event. It’s still a little awkward for me.

Often, in between shots, your mind will wander. But as professional golfers, we pride ourselves on the ability to block things out and focus only on the shot at hand and only on the round....

I think that you’re talking about not just the best player in the game, but the best at being able to do that, to block everything out. I don’t think that it will be a...

In the past, I have not putted Bermuda well. But as I’ve played more and more, listened to Bones, my caddie, who grew up playing Bermuda greens, I’m feeling much comfortable on these surfaces. Last...

I just think the people here are awesome to play in front of and I really enjoy coming here.

To hold all four majors incredible. That’s just one of the most incredible feats in the game. That and Bobby Jones’ Grand Slam and Ben Hogan in ’53 winning three of the four are probably...

It was a huge help. I needed the new driver to combat the added length here at Augusta.

Well, let’s settle down, Grand Slam talk and all.

I was trying to match (Henry’s) score today and when I had six holes left, I only needed three birdies. I thought I could do it, but a bogey and double-bogey kind of derailed me...

There’s a tremendous amount of guys who have a shot. It should be a fun shootout.

Well, I don’t really want to trade next year.

Captain Nicklaus said there were no halves, but I didn’t quite grasp what he meant by that on 15. It was fine. It turned out just great.

It’s just hard to fathom because I have played with him in Ryder Cups and Presidents Cups and seen him at his best. It’s just hard for me to visualize him at anything but his...

There’s a lot of golf left, but I’m entering the final two rounds with a lot more confidence than I’ve had in a while.
