It’s a scary subject. It’s also four hours and already set for television. Those are three strikes.

We thought this would be a three- or four-year project. We never thought it would be more than eight years.

We sent the film hoping they would consider it for a side showing. This tells the world this is not just an important medical issue – kids facing cancer – but it’s a good film.

We’re one of the first films to use the digital revolution, and it feels like we’re the last one to get finished.

We couldn’t have hoped for a better response.

It was all incredibly surreal and crazy.
