To have something like that happen that affects the event is upsetting. I’ve dreamed about this since I was a kid and I was playing for a chance to be in the final group. It’s...

I think that’s probably been the thing I was most proud of about today’s round. On this course, everybody is going to make mistakes. But sometimes it’s hard to forget about it and let it...

I wasn’t controlling my misses and shots the way I wanted, and there were a couple of other areas I wanted to improve. I wasn’t chipping the ball as close as I needed to. So,...

I do enjoy, win, lose or draw, having a chance to compete against him and I know that the more opportunities I have to play head-to-head against him the same events, in the same group,...

The way I look at it is, if you play those three holes at even par, that’s fine. But if you play them really well, you can play them at 1 under ‘¦ or a...

Those last three or four weeks, I really had to fight myself not to play.

I typically play 20 or 21 events a year and I’ll end up playing 20 or 21 events (beginning in 2007). Now, which events I’ll play, I don’t know; I would suspect that two or...

We’re going to have our five biggest events spread out each month. I think that’s terrific. It puts more emphasis on the quality of this event.

He has meant a lot to the game of golf and we’re all pulling for him. We all want him to do better and recover.

I feel like it’s sharp.

I don’t think that the way I plan on playing the golf course is any different being ahead as it would be being behind. I think you have to take what the course gives you.

Let’s settle down Grand Slam talk and stuff. To hold all four majors, that’s one of the most incredible feats in the history of the game.

It has been a long day but a wonderful day. I will look back and cherish some of the shots and putts I was able to make. I was able to manage my misses and...

The difference between here and Augusta is that the fairways are a little tighter here and the rough is a lot thicker. Even though you might be a slightly shorter hitter, hitting it out of...

I love the golf course. I’m very sad that we’re not playing here anymore. I love coming out here. It brings back so many great memories not only the (Mercedes Championships) wins in ’94 and...

Well, unfortunately, they have the video running on one of the channels here at the hotel, so I get to see it every night, isn’t that great? I’ve had a chance to see it a...

We were just relishing the moment and relishing the opportunity.

I played well. I played far from perfect, but I hit a lot of good shots and ended up at 2 under, which I definitely would have taken at the start of the day.

I just felt like if I could get through the first six holes, I wanted to get through under par, but my only two birdie holes were two and three. When I get to seven...

The greens are hard and with water in front, they are very difficult to hold.

My expectations were a lot higher. The last four holes, I started to hit it a lot better. I think I should have a much better weekend than I had the first couple days.

I’d been working in the off-season to get this longer driver in play. We got it dialed in to where I could hit a very long draw. But all of the finesse shots like carving...

He’s won some big tournaments, like Bay Hill last year and the Tour Championship. He’s just a tremendous player. … He’s going to be really tough this weekend, really tough.

When I practiced on the course I thought guys would be lucky to be two or three under par.

I’m not disappointed with that. I just wish I had gotten a score out of it. Doubling the last hole really hurt.

I played far from perfect but hit a lot of good shots.

I had it going out there but then I let it get away. However, I’m in striking distance, as are a lot of guys. It should be a fun shootout.

It was a fun round. I didn’t feel as though I left any shots out there.

There are different challenges to winning each major, and I’m pleased to have accomplished two of those challenges. But there are two more that would show the complete player.

I certainly can’t get it there in two, so I’m going to play it as a three-shotter. That’s a very tough hole, and guys can have a lot of problems if you miss the fairway...

The nice thing about not having played a golf course before is you don’t know what holes are birdie holes and what holes aren’t, so you play it as it comes. I felt like I...

I’ve been trying to get ready and get prepared for Masters. I mean, that’s a tournament that really means a lot and I don’t want to undermine a tournament like this because it’s a really...

I guess it is probably a credit to what a deep field this is and how deep the tour is as far as the quality of play.

When Roger first handed me the new X-Tour Wedge, I couldn’t wait to test the spin. I knew the grooves were big; in fact, I called them my ‘Mack Daddy’ grooves for their size. They...

I’m going to try and keep stride with Tiger and maybe we can have another shot at it on Sunday like we did last year.

Expectations are a little different.

I just wanted some good karma, some good positive thoughts. Hey, Jack Nicklaus hit a 1-iron on the green from here. It can be done.

It could have been good. I left some shots out there. But the way I look at it is: I’m in good position heading into the weekend.

To finish at (5-under) is really disappointing. I was thinking I could get to 9- or 10-. Instead I made some bogeys and finished with a double on the last hole, which hurt.

The great thing about today is it was not the last day. I know that obviously he’s playing well, but because it was not the final round, I wasn’t really concerned. I should be now...

The thing I’m most regretful about Jack not playing and Arnold not playing is that they used to be the guys that we would call first for a practice round. Those would be the guys...

It’s set up just perfectly.

This guy Tiger seems to play well every day, every week. I’m just trying to keep pace. I’m trying to maybe have another shot at dueling out with him on Sunday, and I’m glad that...

I’m having the best time right now. I’m having so much fun being able to compete for major championships. It’s just incredible. And to win a couple now, it’s an amazing feeling.

I would not say it resembles the U.S. Open because the rough isn’t rough — it’s first cut. But the penalty for a missed tee shot on a number of holes now is U.S. Open-type...

When I made the putt on 15, I felt like victory was in hand. That’s when I felt it was mine to control.

I can’t criticize that because [wife] Amy has got pairs just like them.

I haven’t had as many chances here as I would have liked or would have thought. But why the other guys haven’t played well here, I don’t know. It’s a course that, if you play...

Fred and I kept saying to each other how much fun it was to play in the last pair in the Masters. I was so sad to see what happened on 14. I didn’t want...

For him to give his time, to give his money … that’s what we need. No one person can do it alone. But he has made a big difference.
