I wasn’t sure what I was going to do. Then I got a call from Eastern Oklahoma State, a junior college, and they offered me a scholarship.

It’s an environment where it is very difficult to jump in.

I started focusing on strength and conditioning. I got serious about it.

It was about as different from home as I could imagine.

It was beautiful here, and the people were so nice. Even the food was more like home, with the rice and the sushi.
