He wandered through last season. We talked at the end of the season, and he said he was going to be stronger. He came back this fall as a different person – dedicated and focused.

Jamie wrestled a tough and dangerous opponent. He wrestled smart and avoided a pin from a guy who is known for pinning his opponents.

Once again this is a team we don’t know too much about. We’re just going to go out there and wrestle aggressively.

Rider’s got some real solid kids where we’re real young. They can exploit our youth with their experience and maturity.

Year and year out, Rider has a tough team. We’re going to have our hands full.

Right now we’re dealing with some internal issues. We need to resolve them and try to keep working and keep trying to get a commitment from the kids that we have.

I feel that our kids understand that we’re a better team than what we showed against Army. We need to pick it up a notch.

It’s not a one-shot deal. Just because one of our younger guys wins a match, it doesn’t mean we improved – but we also didn’t regress.

Well, he didn’t have a good tournament. We think he has potential for All-American and he needed to be exposed to the best competition.

They have a lot of tough guys. They’re going to be a problem right up and down the line. There aren’t any spots that we can just go out there and exploit.

Those guys are just steady performers. They contribute every match, every meet, every practice.

It’s a feather in his cap. The judges that voted were impressed with his style and his aggressiveness. He had a solid tournament.

Ryan is starting to realize what it takes to win matches at this level. He keeps on improving every time he steps on the mat.

He doesn’t wait around like some of younger wrestlers or even some of the experienced guys. Steve gets the lead and keeps building on it.

I had to make a decision about a match or a kid’s future in wrestling. If he wrestled, we could have lost him for the season and I know neither Mike nor I wanted that.

They’ve been using different kids. We don’t know much about Brown, but we have to wrestle with just as much intensity as we would in a meet where we knew our opponent.
