To me, it’s that type of game.

From our point of view, he’s very poised. He has very good vision. He’s very comfortable with the offense, and he looks like a relaxed player out there. He makes a lot of plays and...

Bill is an accomplished coach who has been a coordinator in the past and understands the responsibilities that go along with the position. He has experience and is very capable.

You can drive yourself crazy looking for that common theme. I do think it’s a process you go through, because the first part of solving a problem is identifying it. And if something shows up...

It seemed like he ran about 100 yards.

Also, we wanted to change some things in our offense so that we would present some new and different-looking problems for our opponents. The game is a chess game. You’re always trying to stay one...

I don’t have a problem with him being held accountable. But when it is brought up and repeated, it is like beating a dead horse.

He’s a guy I have tried to hire on two other occasions, so the third time was a charm. I’m excited to have him on our staff.

I didn’t think our defense responded well at all after all three turnovers in the first half,

I think it will because he’s a smart guy. He’s very competitive. He’s a multi-sport guy. And he’s into football. He’s got a lot going for him. And I like that he’s a high-energy guy.

I think the NFL is in Brandon’s heart and he should follow his heart. We wish him the best of luck.

I would say it’s the single most important factor of (a team), … You hate to put it all on one position, but if you told me, ‘OK Tiller, you’re going to graduate 21 of...

I think he will develop these guys well. I think he will maximize (the players’) abilities. He’s a high-energy guy and very positive.

We’re going to keep trying things, … We’re going to keep trying combinations.

We have added a couple players on to the roster that have the ability to stretch the field vertically. And we know we have the arm.

I think he was able to accomplish something many couldn’t do. He survived three coaching changes at Western Michigan.

We’re still a spread offense. We’re going to throw it around. We think our tight ends (Charles Davis and Dustin Keller) are talented and we want to get them involved.

There’s probably five of them that could probably play (at the position). That’s a nice problem. One’s just as good as the other one.

Kevin Noel, at the time, was a high-profile recruit, but has not had the best of luck since he’s been here, … If he holds it together, he could certainly be a big contributor.

We knew the system needed some review and obviously they did that. It’s nice to see. The true results are there.

There are ample challenges on the schedule,

If weather will decide the game, and I don’t think it will, it would favor the home team.

But we didn’t do it. On the drive that counted the most.

So, I want to thank Pluto and Mickey and Donald, and all my relatives.

I thought our defense stepped up. We had a number of takeaways, which is what we are looking for, and for the most part we were flying to the ball. Not that the offense didn’t...

(The offense) had the upper hand, there’s no question about it. I think we need to make some headway in the secondary, I think that’s real obvious is it not.

It’s another back injury. We are getting all of them out of the way this spring.

In terms of fixing it, I don’t know. I don’t know if we can change people. We don’t have that many options. We have to fix it as it is and get ourselves in better...

I felt like, ‘ ‘ ?hey, we need to take the next step. There’s more to this than we were doing at the time.’

When you look at a system that’s outside of something that you’re most familiar with, there seems to be some mystery attached to it, … when in fact, it really is pretty simple.

We’re just so anxious to start. There are so many things we need to learn about ourselves.

We feel like we’ve got enough talent at the position that it’s possible that we wouldn’t designate starters.

I think everyone is kind of geared to go out there and see option football,

Right now, I’d say the option is going to be part of our offense.

We looked for something to give us a spark and hoped that maybe it would work,” said Tiller, who wasn’t pleased with the accuracy of Kirsch’s passes for most of the game.

Bill knows our system as well as anyone. That’s why he was chosen. Bottom line: He is a guy who will be able to get it done.

Surprisingly, the injury isn’t too serious. We thought he might have been able to hold for field goals but he wasn’t able to.

He’ll be given an ample opportunity to display his skills.

It’s very difficult to win a game when you have five turnovers.

Particularly turning the ball over where we turned it over, three times in the red zone in the first half, … Particularly to turn the ball over and have it ruled as a touchback. I...

I wanted more emphasis on our problem from last season. So, Brock will be helping out over there throughout the year.

Brandon Kirsch doesn’t lack confidence. He’s not one of those cold and timid souls that’s going to disappear when the ball is snapped.

I felt like, ”, ‘, ‘,hey, we need to take the next step. There’s more to this than we were doing at the time.’

Some people refer to it as the Purdue rule, which is a block by a guy, to an adjacent lineman, below the knees, … I’ve seen teams continue to do that this year and so...

I feel really good about the guys we’ve hired. Offensively, we need to get out here as a staff and work together and just make sure we are covering all of our bases.

My initial take on this group is that it’s my second-best staff. It may prove to be the best.

I think we’re going to run a couple of options, but I don’t see us going out there and running 40 option plays in a game. We’re still a spread offense, and we’re going to...

We felt like coming into the game that if he has a lot of time to sit back there, he can be pretty accurate. If he doesn’t have a lot of time, he can be...

Much has been said about who we’re not playing, … Now that they’ve heard all this nonsense all summer long ‘ ° we’d better worry about who we’re playing.

He’s one of the few guys I’ve interviewed over the years, he tells you he believes in something, then he brings tape in and by God, when you turn on the tape, they’re doing what...
