When we train this long, even as coaches, you kind of want to just go ahead and play. We need the two weeks, but I don’t want to make it four weeks.

We thought Amy could win. There was no more courageous person than Amy.

I expected Jackie to win. It was extremely neat and is something that is hard to do. She was able to answer the challenge and repeat as champion.

[The men] have the pieces there, we just don’t have as many as on the women’s side. I think that’s really reflective to a certain degree that the women have 18 scholarships and the men...

The camaraderie is so much better in the women. It’s the best we’ve had since I’ve been here.

With the conference meet two weeks out, there are certain things that you won’t try to do this weekend. You have to win the war, not the battle.

We’re very solid, but we’ve got a lot of kids that are new to the program. So they have to contribute immediately for us.

It’s also a time to really assess where you are physically.

He has the confidence and swagger to back it up and really is our most competitive guy on the track.

No matter what issues we have, I know all the other teams have issues as well with health and people just lacking in confidence.

We’ve always had chances for brilliance. The talent is there but it’s just how quickly it comes together.
