I am disappointed and disturbed by both the NFL and the Dodgers – but much more by the Dodgers.

We’ll have to marshal our forces in Washington. It won’t be easy. That doesn’t mean it can’t be done.

If the weather continues to cooperate and the public continues to cooperate, this may end well for all of us, but the weather is unpredictable in these parts.

We are guardedly optimistic if the weather continues to cooperate.

It ought to be recognized for what it is: an absolutely historic investment by the County of Los Angeles.

It may be a political opportunity that won’t pass our way again in our political lifetimes.
