I’m glad I had the opportunity to be here his last year. We’ve done our best to make this a good year for him. We’d like to send him off well.

I feel more mature. Last year, I was in a close match, panicked and got beat. I learned my lesson. I don’t panic in a close match. I do what’s necessary to win.

I still think I could’ve done a lot better. I thought I had him stuck. I stayed on him and not let him have a chance to breathe.

I’m really psyched. That (state) loss still burns in me. It makes me want to win that much more.
