We got ourselves in some holes. Fortunately tonight we were able to dig ourselves out. I’m sure if you ask anybody around here, you’re not going to expect to win too many ball games when you walk that many guys. But they pitched their hearts out and came through with the ‘W’ for us.
It was fun. It’s the position I played throughout the entire Minor Leagues. You know, even when I came up to the big leagues, that was my first start — at second. It’s a fun position. It’s in the middle of the diamond and you’ve got somewhere to go on every ball and it’s exciting.
I wasn’t trying to hit a homer there. I was looking for a pitch in the zone and luckily it went out.
You could say he (Cabrera) was effectively wild. He kept them in the game.
Seth deserved a W, and the offense wasn’t there to support him.
We had some opportunities offensively but couldn’t get it done.
I think I’ve showed the potential to put up good numbers at this level.
Wherever they want me, I’ll work my tail off to be the best I can at that position.
Seth deserved to win. The offense just wasn’t there to support him.
