That play was somewhat of a dagger. But Dee Brown has done that to a lot of people.

This game can be fragile, and kids can play well sometimes and raise their confidence level.

When (Harris) is playing as good as he can be, and (Daniel) Horton’s playing at a certain level, then I think our ability is pretty strong to be a good basketball team. Not to put...

We’re thrilled. This certainly puts us in position (for an NCAA bid) with a signature win around the country. We recognize how good Illinois has been over the last few years.

I thought that their aggressiveness on the ball knocked us back a little bit. We haven’t been good when people put pressure on us. We know that and we try to do things against it...

You can see what he’s able to do for our team (as an) inside-outside presence as a post player. He’s basically the only guy who’s been able to do that for us this season. You...

It’s certainly a situation I disagreed with and I got a technical for it and I deserved it.

We always know the follow-up of an emotional win or loss is critical. We certainly know there’s a lot of basketball to be played, and the focus for us is to stay in the hunt...

We’re pleased – we’re pleased for our school, pleased for our fans and our alums. I’m really pleased for our players. Thinking anything beyond that, it’s a game for us right now. … We have...

It’s a disappointing ending and loss for us today. You can look at a lot of different stats. But nothing is more telling than 24 turnovers. That was our undoing this afternoon.

Both teams struggled offensively. It wasn’t a pretty game from an offensive standpoint. The difference was they were able to get to the foul line and they knocked in a decent percentage.

It happened (against Minnesota), and it was an incredible turning point. It was also very deflating, but it’s also part of the game and was bad timing for us. ? I’m not sure you can...

They’re a team that’s already played in a different venue. They’ve gone on the road to win a couple games in this tournament, which shows toughness on their part. ? What the Colonial conference has...

I thought Chris Hunter’s play for us coming off the bench was a big difference for our production and our ability to win this basketball game this evening.

Boy, he was just an efficient basketball player as a senior. And when you think back on some of the really good senior players who have played in Madison, you think of those moments where...

It was a spectacular play. It was a big momentum play. You could see their energy increase. It was demoralizing to us.

We’ve let a lot of people down — I’ve let a lot of people down.

Well, we know their staff, we have empathy for what they’re going through, what they’ve gone through all season.

They are unique – and different. They are a very athletic team. They are long and rangy. And they are a very confident team. They are quick. Their team speed is outstanding and they have...

Going there, obviously for them to probably have a chance to get off the losing slide there in the conference, the home opportunity ? the best opportunity if you’re sitting in their seat, their side...

They shot the ball lights-out. I’m sure we contributed to their tremendous shooting percentages, but you have to give them credit.

Chris is our three-point shooter from the post position. I don’t want to say he has the green light from there, but he’s capable of shooting it.

I thought (Horton) played tremendous defense. We had to. I can’t tell you how talented and quick Dee Brown is. … You have to be disciplined, you have to be tough, you have to be...

We want to extend our season as long as we can. Hopefully, we’re going to do very well in the NIT.

Any time you can win a championship and put a banner up, it’s exciting.

I thought they had so much energy. (I’m) disappointed, obviously, in some of the ways that we felt like we helped them get that energy or those leads. But certainly you give them the credit...

They rammed it down our throats the first part of the game. But the second half, our veterans really showed something. We showed some heart and toughness.

Their ability to get the three-point shot but, more importantly, to make them was the difference.

I thought our veterans led the way for us with a lot of toughness and heart.

He certainly played at a high level. Down the stretch you want to give everything you have, and he certainly has performed very well.

I’m hopeful our seniors can lead us in this environment, and so in order to do that, I’m going to rely on them to make sure we’re ready, we’re hungry and we’re going to go...

Courtney did what he’s capable of doing around the goal.

I talked to them in a calm manner. I didn’t yell or scream. I said I was disappointed in the way they played. But the second 20 minutes was a really good half for us....

I mentioned to our players, when they get a chance to interview, they should certainly mention the effort and the impact the crowd had.

Sometimes he doesn’t get enough credit. I thought his floor game was outstanding.

As coaches I think we have felt that wherever it lands it would be helpful to anchor it for a period of time, whether it’s five or even a few years beyond that. I think...

He’s been everything. He’s been an absolute high-level competitor since the day he stepped foot on campus.

With a different group of players you have a different team. Two years ago we were fairly young with a youthful exuberance and excitement about our program. I think this year the kids have been...

One possession here or there was going to determine this game for either team. Dee’s three-point play late was somewhat of a dagger, but he’s done that a few times.

We had some critical turnovers late in the game, and some of those were when we were trying to get the ball to Courtney.

A lot of times, shooting becomes contagious, and once they started knocking down shots, there wasn’t a lot we could do about it.

His courage, the way he put us on his back offensively, was outstanding. You saw him will his shots in. You saw him will us to a victory.

Hopefully, being an older team it can work in your favor. Hopefully, we can take charge of that (opportunity in the NIT) and do very well.

We have respect for their team and their program. They’ve been able to do something we haven’t done to get here, and that’s go outside their home arena and win.

I think he’s been everything to this program. He’s been an absolute high-level competitor since the day he stepped foot on campus. I’m going to miss him, as a coach and as a teacher. He’s...

We held serve at home and I’m really proud of our seniors and our veterans the way we fought back. And I can’t say enough about Michigan State.

We have no choice and it’s going to be a tough game. It’s going to be a competitive game and I’ll be very disappointed if we don’t bring the fight and spirit that we had...

I thought our veterans really led the way with a lot of toughness and a lot of heart. And certainly our crowd this evening really pulled us through tonight.

He certainly played at a high level.

Hunter was a big difference for us … I thought he had a really, really solid game.
