With the length of contract we are offering it’s no gamble for this club.

From what I gather from the chairman there are not a great deal of funds available. He has always said that, so we have to come to some sort of compromise and either be cute...

It has always been that way with David, people pick up on any mistake he makes,

He has to prove his fitness and show he is good enough to break into the first team. Robbie knows he has to work hard in training. He has to play in reserve games when...

I have always been pretty positive about the situation with Joey. The chairman and chief executive spoke to him this week and hopefully we can move it along and get a resolution to it.

In spells it was some of the best passing we’ve played. We created a lot of chances. If we’d got a third we could have gone on to get four or five.

The way I was brought up by my parents and guided through my football life by the influences of various managers means that in some ways I am black and white.

You’ve got to be a manager in top-flight football for ten years before you even get whispered in those circles,

I only saw it once in real time and didn’t have a good view. But if it was a poor tackle I will have a chat with the player and tell him it is unacceptable.

We have made Nicky Weaver an offer because he has done exceptionally well for both us and while on loan.

We are speaking with Andy and his agent on Thursday and we should sort everything out then. He wants to be here and we want him here. It is as simple as that.

I have a big job on my hands now, there is no mistaking that, but I feel as though I have a calmness within myself.

It would be easy for me to look at the decisions which went against us and which probably cost us in the end but I am not in the business of blaming anyone other than...

If I refused him this opportunity of fulfilling his ambition it would not be good for him or Manchester City Football Club.

It’s a ‘suck it and see’ situation with Georgios. But I think this weekend will be too soon for him. We will wait and see but he is hell bent on getting back as quick...

As long as the playing field is level and we are results-orientated and there are no personal grudges at all, then it’s brilliant.

Joey is out of Saturday’s game. He is back on the training field but he is still experiencing some discomfort.

But all I am concerned about is what he does for us on Saturday and he has not let me down yet.

The first one was a great finish,

Andy is having an operation today and we think he will be out for between four and five weeks.
