We just couldn’t seem to get over the hump. We seemed to be one clutch hit away all game.

The girls scored in all but three events to finish in third place out of 9 teams. We had a day in which we hoped to see more improvement in times and distances.

We kept putting ourselves in position to score and couldn’t come up with the big hit. Ryan had another great outing. They have a great lineup one through nine.

John came in and pitched three quality innings and had a real good game at the plate. Zach did a great job to pick up both wins.

(Josh) Lincoln and (Andy) Malinowski came in against a good team and did a real nice job. We’re trying to get the kids some experience early in the season.

We did have a number of quality performances and hopefully as we continue more improvements will be forthcoming.

Zach struggled with his control, but he competed and kept us in the game.

It was nothing major. But with a 7-1 lead we didn’t want to press the issue.

It was a big game. We’ve been wanting to beef up our schedule. We were in a position to win. Give St. Rita credit. They found a way to score some runs, and we didn’t.
