Elected officials get elected by the community. They should remember that.

To me it’s a no-brainer. Before the gym, this block was a bastion of prostitution and drugs.

The response from the community has been phenomenal. We raised more than $40,000 that can be put into the foundation for scholarships, and that’s what it’s all about — the community helping the community.

It saddens me to have to go outside the community of Newburgh to seek help.
