We want people to enjoy life. Jess is probably looking down from heaven and smiling.

Basically, she had a pretty rough time of it. She was always in and out of the hospital.

We call it a party for a purpose. It’s not a sit-down dinner. To me, it’s a neighborhood block party and a night on the town combination.

They’re kind of a house band. They’ve been with us from the start.

Our friend had planned a party for Jess. Unfortunately, [Jess] passed away before we could have it. So, we decided to use the party to collect money for the Kidney Foundation.

She lost her kidneys her first day in the hospital. She never really got them back. She wasn’t in a situation where she could have received a donation.
