We had some very skilled people in our group. A few do home construction and remodeling. I just brought my enthusiasm.
One of the homeowners was showing us around the 9th Ward and he made a comment that America has forgotten them.
Everybody that is left is in a state of limbo and doesn’t know if their neighborhood is going to be rebuilt or what is going to happen to the city.
But it is somewhat true because, as a society, we have short memories and there are always new tragedies to capture our collective imagination.
