I don’t like cold weather and I am planning to spend January in Ohio. Figure that. But they are both good shows and we expect to draw a large number of people to both.
People in the Dayton area have never seen this many boats in one place at a Dayton show before. We have 25 dealers from southwest Ohio and there have never been that many dealers at a Dayton show.
These are gas hogs, there’s no question about that, Anybody who has a $200,000 motor home, they aren’t worried about an extra $50.
We are having the show over two weekends (Jan. 27-29 and Feb. 3-5) because the weekends are better attended. The guys (boat sales people) need a break, too. This way they have a chance to rest up a bit during the week.
You’re completely in control. Americans are control freaks. We love that.
I am really pleased how this show has gone together. We sold out all of our spaces in 40 days a year ago.
They are planning to offer a wide variety of boats, from personal watercraft up to a 38-foot luxury cruiser.
