The justice system is a human system and it is fallible.

The concern is that we shouldn’t do mandatory minimums because it ties the hands of prosecutors and you may make some victims testify who don’t want to testify.

I don’t think there’s any short-term political gain that warrants undermining the independence of our judiciary.

I know the case in Burlington put a bad taste in everyone’s mouth.
