Part of the goal is getting here. The other is doing something once you are here, and he has to figure that out.

I think it’s big [for the program]. His perseverance, and winning some matches [at state], that’s big. Him being successful enough for other guys to get motivated.

I didn’t really expect to get five guys in the finals. I was pleased with that.

The hard part is that he’s the only guy. When more than one guy goes [to the state tournament], they feed off each other.

His goal is to place at state. That’s not unreasonable. I think it’s something that is within his grasps. If he pursues it and peaks here soon.
