It was nice to be able to get away from our rooms and visit a place that has so much history attached to it. We have read about the Pass in our school days and...

We had our backs to the wall for three days in the first test. They didn’t surprise us, we knew they’re a good team.

What he does when he gets fired at the top of the order is very destructive and that is something he had done successfully in the past.

The rule as it is now, gives a huge advantage to the captain inning the toss. So, I think, they (ICC) should continue with it and allow the team to pick their super sub after...

I wouldn’t lay out my cards on the table now, to be honest it looks a very good wicket that might do a little bit initially for the bowlers.

I am sure in future they will come up with a plan like the Ashes which ensures that there is not too much and not too little cricket played. I think you got to get...

We know we have to play well. We have to play one day of good cricket out of the remaining two to win the series. We are confident of doing it. We have shown in...

He has done two days of exercises and all the practice.

If we play good cricket, we should win,

The heat is not a problem but the humidity is.

I don’t think these things are related too much for international sportsmen. What happened last week should be forgotten.

The eleven picked will depend on how the wicket looks tomorrow morning.

We also see tomorrow’s game as an opportunity to give a chance to some of our batsmen and bowlers.

He is a great cricketer but more importantly, he is also a fine person.

We are playing good cricket and have won 11 games when we have chased. We are confident of doing both. We have specific plans when we bat first or chase. I do not think we...

We clearly have to raise our fielding standards. It was disappointing. Our bowlers also have to learn to bowl under pressure. The mood is down in the camp now but every series is a new...

I don’t believe in statistics.

The huge advantage India used to have playing at home probably does not exist anymore. Most teams plan their tours well these days.

We played him in the middle order against South Africa with some success. We have a lot of options, but we will see as the series progresses.

I think he did a great job as a captain in his first series and he’s truly shown why is the greatest all-rounder in the world at the moment.

He is not an option. We have two specialist openers and I have also opened and done well.

I told him ‘Just keep enjoying yourself, mate. I’m having a great time watching you’.

We know we have to play one good day to win the series and we have plans to meet the challenges of either chasing or setting the targets for the opposition.

We are not ruling out anyone for the World Cup.

We will be looking at what kind of combination we will go in with (in the first Test). But we have to keep working hard on all three aspects of our game,

Two performances cannot take away anything, it is people’s perception. Our performance still stands even if we lose these two games.

But scoring at eight runs per over was always going to be difficult.

The idea is to get a combination that can take 20 wickets in the match.

England’s obviously had some bad luck. It’s unfortunate what’s happened to a few of their key players, but England must not be underestimated.

But this is a seven-match series and hopefully they would do so in the remaining games.

It is a great feeling, everyone has played well. The team had been under pressure at times in the series but we had people who pulled the team out.

England will be a very good side, very competitive. They’ve had a bit of bad luck and it has been a little unfortunate what happened to a couple of their key players.

Reactions are always extreme when you lose or win, but these players are fully equipped and will not allow the performance to affect.

The lads have been great, they’ve taken ownership of the side.

Having batted here before I knew at 60-70 it gets really hard to concentrate.

Our aim is to try and win test matches, irrespective of the conditions, and we need to look at the best combination to win. We thought we needed five bowlers to get us 20 wickets...

We needed another wicket at that stage (95-6), but could not get it. We could have probably bowled a bit better in that game.

It was hard to keep concentration going [because of poor light], and it was bound to happen at some stage.

We played the best batting combination and it clicked in the first two Tests. But I guess we now have to think about playing the best batsmen in best positions.

Seeing the video, cricket seems like fun, I didn’t know that. We only know about fast bowlers, dressing room and hotels. Now I know what to do after I finish with cricket. You meet so...

It’s a long season ahead for us. It’s the start of what I see as a very long 6-8 months. If we take the right steps, hopefully we will see some progress in the course...

England had shown in the Ashes series against Australia that if you play five bowlers, you can win some very good matches.

They (Pakistan) have a very good batting line-up. But our bowlers bowled very well and we took some very good catches. It was a determined team effort that fetched us this victory.

I will have to see how the wicket looks tomorrow before deciding what to do (If I win the toss), but I don’t think the toss would make much of a difference.

It’s a myth that Indians can’t play fast bowling and also that England can’t play spin bowling.

It will be tough for both the teams and a challenge for both batsman and bowlers.

I am looking forward to the series, it should be a good one. We had a very good tour of Pakistan last time and I enjoyed the country and enjoyed going there. Hope the same...

Hopefully, we will carry forward the confidence of this series against England after a few days off.

All of us had been reading about it in the history books over the years. So, it was very special just to have passed the same route after knowing about all those great people who...

We are planning to developing a strategy which will give us 20 wickets in a match as in the last four encounters we were unable to do so for a victory.
