Growing up, I had a ton of friends, and I had a great life, but people still made fun of me sometimes.

I used to be smaller than I am now, and it didn’t make my life any easier. It’s not really about your body. It’s about what’s going on inside, in your head and your heart.

Know that you are worth so much more than the value you place on your body. It’s not the only thing that defines you.

Growing up, I looked to people who had the same issues as me and were still living great lives.

In high school, I threw a party to get a guy’s attention. I wanted him to think I was cool, so I let him and his friends DJ and basically take over the house.

Understand that everybody has their own struggles, regardless of whether you can see it or not. Just surround yourself with the people who love you, and know you’re not really alone.

My freshman year of high school was just awkwardness all around.

Every day is a reminder to accept myself as I am.
