We make festivals according to the films that are out there now. We’ve tried to do a balanced selection of interesting films responding to a great variety of tastes.

San Sebastian is a very friendly festival, … a place where the distance between directors and the public disappears.

It was not deliberate, just that we didn’t come across American films for this selection. And European cinema is expanding, especially in eastern states.

The festival is going to have its own doses of glamour. European cinema is starting to get glamour.
