We really needed George, and boy, did he step up.

He’s playing within himself. He’s under control at both ends. He’s not getting in trouble on the defensive end so he can play on the offensive end the way he’s capable.

We always like to give our seniors an opportunity to start during the season. I’m very pleased with the way they came out and played.

I told (the seniors) when they walked off the court (as eighth graders) that their time would come and we’d win the important one. We’ll win when it means something.

That opened things up for us.
