We want to involve people, to have them research trees and get interested in them. We’re not only looking for size, but species that are unique and historic as well.

You’ll find a lot of old trees in cemeteries. They just never get cut down.

This tree was literally a sapling when Washington was marching down here. I’m hoping that whenever they develop the property, they’ll leave it here.

If you want to save trees in the township, you have to show people their value. We want to teach people to appreciate these trees, and the best way is through education and outreach.
