There are some things that can’t be controlled.

Everyone seems to think that the D.N.S. system is a big deal, but it’s not the heartbeat of the Internet. Who controls the flow of the ocean? Nobody controls it, and it works just fine....

The network is so flexible, and it’s such an open network in terms of competition and architecture that if anyone began to flex some power, someone else would step in to compete with them.

The Internet is moving out of cyberspace and into smart space,

The culture of the original Internet was one of trust.

I think the bottom line is that no one is in a position to close down the Internet.
