They happened to catch us on the wrong night. We lost last night, and that gave us some fire. We came out and really attacked on both ends.

You could see it coming. Teams are getting better and better. South and East were getting better, working their way to sub-state finals. You could see it coming. I don’t think it will drop off.

We’d get up six or seven, and they would come right back and cut it to three. They hit three-pointers. They hit free throws. They’re just tough to stop.

First-round games are some of the toughest to play. But we have to remember this and learn from it.

Now you know you can get all you need in the league. We don’t have to go outside the conference.

I challenged our girls at the half. I told them we’ve worked too hard to let it slip out of our hands now.

This whole tournament, we’ve taken everyone’s best shot. We just had to keep battling through that.

These are the kinds of games our girls are capable of. They’re never going to give up.
