If it was catastrophic, we would know by now. I’m very happy. It is working.

Instead of having seniors in line for an hour and a half crying, literally, (pharmacists) can start billing our system.

The federal government hasn’t made any progress in figuring out the problem.

We will not flip the switch until we receive some information that gives us comfort we will not be putting Vermonters in jeopardy.

We are working with them and have been since late last week to get those contracts in place.

We’re bringing up a phenomenal amount of resources. If those resources are overwhelmed, we’ll switch back.

Pharmacists in the state of Vermont deserve our gratitude. They’ve extended their faith, good will and free medicine. But we can’t continue to depend upon their good will and faith.

We’ve taken all the known problems and solved them. We know for these 25,000 that they’ve been correctly assigned to a prescription drug plan.

We’re staffed to deal with thousands of calls, as long as they don’t all come at the same time.

We will make sure that no Vermonter who needs their drugs goes without them, including folks if they go to the Island Pond dispensary.
