You never want to see a situation where kids get tossed out. A good scorer and a top defenseman for us were out. Central had good players out as well.

We certainly felt like we could win.

(Christiansen) was solid. None of those goals could be pinned on him. I thought (Central’s Ness) was solid too.

Their power play was very good.

I’ve always considered it a privilege to be the coach of this program. It has been a real honor to represent our school and our community as coach. I have a lot of good memories.

The big thing was the 5-on-3 we weren’t able to capitalize on. We didn’t get anything, and they get a power play late and bang they put it in.
