(The school) did a great job recruiting, and he’s happy with his decision. What makes a difference is he is a great kid and a good student, and coaches are looking for the combination.

I’m proud of how the kids played. They were tough, just not good enough. We play to win.

They all did great. It was good for the kids to go and see something other than what they were used to.

As a coach, it’s hard to celebrate a loss. Yeah, we scored on Statesboro, but that is what we are supposed to do. We came up short a touchdown.

I talk to him once or twice a week. He’s enjoying it, and he is learning a lot. He is tired, but that comes with being a college football player.

If the kid has the ability to play at the next level, it is up to the coach to push that kid. I coached college ball, so I know what they are looking for.
