We probably have our best defensive lineup when Charlie is on the mound.

He probably threw more pitches than we would have liked. We would have put somebody else in, but he had a no hitter going, so we let him have it.

We feel very confident with those two on the mound. Both can throw in the upper 80s and throw it right by 80-percent of high school hitters.

Shawn really did a good job. He’s been battling a sore arm, and he’d thrown around 90 pitches and we could see he lost some zip on his fastball.

The kids knew we played bad the day before and they stepped up.

A break here or a break there can hurt you. Last year we got some of those.

His breaking ball worked really well. Seven of his 12 strikeouts, the batter went down looking, didn’t swing. A lot of those were on his breaking ball.
