It’s a public safety issue. If you close down the track, what’s gonna happen out there? Everybody has the fear of illegal street racing.

There’s a lot of speculation out there and a lot of rumors going around. We’re just trying to clear the air and give everybody a fresh outlook as to what’s happening out there.

This is something that’s been open for 40 years, 40-plus years. You have generations of racers out there that come out there every weekend. And to just up and close it, you can’t do that.

Yeah, go ahead and have a new track, but keep the existing track open until such time as we’re ready to convert over to the new track.
