Jacob has a good night, his best as a Razorback.

We had every intention of playing Rod, … but the way Cedric Logan stepped up, it (the intentions to play Coleman) motivated him.

This is first time, either as a player or a coach, I’ve ever had back-to-back losing seasons. You want to let your fans and players know you’re trying to do things better.

To have the No. 1 player come out of your own state, you really need him. You really need him to go to your school – and so that was huge.

I really thought (Johnson) played hard and competed hard. He has a great look in his eye and did a good job for us.

We feel good about what [Johnson] is doing now, that he didn’t do in the spring. He’s been accurate, but like we told him, ‘We’re giving you this because you earned it, but you still...

Anything can happen in the wild, wild West. That’s the biggest theme,

We just felt like for the team, we needed this change, … We’re going to let Casey start, and see how he does, and he’s done some good things throughout the year. This wasn’t an...

We’ll probably wait until the end of the spring.

The no-huddle has a few wrinkles here and there that require a little bit different thinking. It’s a crash course, but they’ll get it.

We’re going to have to be ready. Not only running the football, we need to keep improving our passing game. Our receivers are going to have to be ready. I just think everybody, tight ends,...

Casey was a little off but came back and threw some good balls.

[Six plays later, Cutler hits Marlon White for a 6-yard touchdown with: 26 on the clock and all but locks up the 28-24 victory.] The difference was that they were able to make plays, …...

The defense has progressed very well. It has been a process and that happens anytime there is a change like that. The new terminology and new system take awhile, but the guys have bought into...

I think there is competition there. Casey realizes that. Robert closed the gap. But I want to leave things as they are, prove it on the field, starting August.

Any time that you lose and you lose the way we did, there is going to be a confidence factor problem. The only way to cure that is to get back on the field and...

What we were trying to do was get to the fourth quarter. And we couldn’t get there. They could score so fast. It messes you up. They’re the best offensive team I’ve seen, absolutely.

This is the halfway point and it’s time to reach down. It’s about the way you take the field, how you’re listening, whether your correcting your mistakes, whether you’re getting better and if you’re doing...

This is really, we felt like, the first week he really stepped up.

All quarterbacks want to play.

I think two years from now, I think we’ll all say that this was truly one of our best classes.

That was good then. I’m glad they cheered. I wish we would have completed it. I would have stood up and cheered if we completed it.

You don’t know who he’s gotten in since the spring or since two-a-days. It’s an ongoing thing. You go with their philosophy and their scheme and prepare the best you can.

The defense put out a fire, … and then for us to come back with that drive, I really thought we were going to win the game.

I really think there’s still a lot of season left, … I wouldn’t do it for any other reason except to win.

They are running a few more routes than they are used to. We’ve got to keep them watered down and keep them stretched. They’ve been doing a lot of running from Period 1 to 24....

They block for each other.

He’s a tremendous quarterback. We knew that going in.

At the end of the game he got a helmet to the knee.

He took a knee on the helmet Tuesday. We didn’t think it would be this bad, but he couldn’t get full range of motion.

That is a great question, because I don’t think anybody has. I just don’t know how. I think he is going to get his. You just hope they are not all 86-yard runs or 90-yard...

It was tough … embarrassing. There’s no other way to say it. We do owe them. We owe them a big one.

When he scored, that’s when the game should have been won,

The offensive line we’re a year older, … You’ve got a supporting cast that’s a year older. That’s going to be the key.

It’s been unbelievable. Guys are being offered as juniors or going into their senior year. It’s never happened this fast. It’s almost too fast.

I know our players will use this game as motivation during the off-season and during spring practice. I am confident that Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium will be packed and our fans will make it...

I think all that added up and helped everything.

(Shavers) had a good week and we’re just trying to motivate that bunch, keep them going,

That was real difficult a real difficult time. … I understood it, but boy, it really hurt. But the positive swing on that is when he jumped back in, there was a domino effect that...

They have weapons at every position, … I just don’t see it.

They are on top of that center, and it seems like they know the snap count of the opposing team because they are pushing them back.

I had a good talk with them yesterday. I think it’s just gonna take getting back out there on the field. You just don’t want to get too hung up on a non-conference game. Yes,...

They’re so good at running the football — so quick. They’re also the type of backs where you can throw a screen ball to them,

There were a lot of mistakes. The defense set the tone from the first snap. They did a good job.

He hasn’t taken a lazy step.

He was running good. He made a good touchdown run and was being physical.

When you have a lead, the one thing we feel very confident and secure … he’s always protected (the ball) for us.

We had that one won. We let that one slip away.

That wasn’t the case at all. They have so many weapons.

All these guys, they were great in high school. Let’s see …
