I couldn’t afford a good saddle and, like any other kid, I wanted to be a cowboy. When I was 17, I had the opportunity to work in a saddle shop.

I’m a nut for quality. We try to make the saddle we’re working on better than the last one.

I’ve got the best help in the world. Whether a rodeo is coming up or not, we’re still in the shop doing the same thing day in and day out.

Is it a way to get rich? No. But there’s a tremendous amount of satisfaction in doing this.
