After the media goes home, after FEMA goes home, after the Red Cross goes home, we are left with the problem,

I wasn’t able to help the living, … so I was not at all upset about having a suitable place to house the dead.

This was thrust upon us and we are going to make the best of it.

We’d rather not be in this situation,

A lot of the fear was fueled by misconceptions, … Some people thought bodies were going to be burned so diseases could be spread through the air. None of that is going to happen.

Some people are mad that I ‘let’ the federal government set up this operation in the town, … I didn’t really have a choice.

They sure put that fence up in a hurry, … I have to wear a badge to go from place to place here.

I’m sure that there were some people who came adamantly opposed and who left that way,

All the lights went out in St. Gabriel the other night, … We started our generator here at City Hall, but that didn’t help them in the warehouse, so they’re bringing in their own.

One thing we’ve got a lot of, … is land.
