It takes a high level of training and commitment skills to represent the Red Cross outside of the United States.

Potentially every single person here has the opportunity to save a life of a friend, a neighbor or a co-worker.

They’re turning to community resources now. They’re no longer evacuees. The people who are here now, they’re community residents.

The same agencies that are here for people in SD on a daily basis are there now for the evacuees who have become part of the community. I would hesitate to use the word ‘evacuee’...

He made the arrangements and he took care of it. It was an unusual gesture.

At this point, we’re just talking about keeping people safe from power outages and flooding.

We can buy what we need in bulk.

We don’t know how many he will bring but we’re prepared to take as many as he has.
