Finally, let me say that as a mother of two young girls, I deplore any type of violence against women.

In fact, we made a pact that that would be the last thing we would do.

I really didn’t think about it at all, as to how close it might be. I’ll just have to wait and see.

I’ve never seen it. They did it on my behalf, but I did not approve the language. It is true that I was not the lead prosecutor.

No case should be discussed [publicly] by people working on the case. Most especially not the prosecutors.

I believe a case should not be tried in the news media, that a case should be tried – any case should be tried – in a court of law. That would be after all...

I think the defense, just like the prosecution did early on, is trying the case in the national media. I’m really sort of surprised a judge hasn’t placed a gag order.

I don’t believe it was proper or ethical for over 70 interviews to be granted to the media prior to the full investigation of the case.

Frankly, in my opinion, it would be impossible to find an unbiased jury in the United State of America.

Any case should be tried in a court of law and not a court of public opinion.

I believe I have the trust at a grass-roots level to pull this community back together again.

I am proud to have the endorsement of the Sensational Nightingales, and that would include Darrell Luster. I am proud of the fact that he is my black campaign manager.

I would not be in the business of trying to throw away the lives of and 17-year-olds. Teenagers make mistakes.
