Given that employers have no legal obligation to thoroughly investigate whether documents presented to them by new employees are valid or not, they often have a de facto defense.
We went in to take a look at their documentation and advised them that these documents were not correct. It is an ongoing investigation.
It hasn’t gotten to that point yet. We’re working along with the Delaware State Police, so if it’s an on-going investigation we’ll make sure if it does involve human trafficking to investigate how these women...
