We had two terrible practices Monday and Tuesday, so I was really worried about tonight.

Tyler doesn’t score many points, he doesn’t look the fastest, but he’s very smart defensively. I try to put him on everyone’s best 3-point shooters.

I told Tyler to hold the ball and just let the time run out. He did what he was instructed to do, and that played a huge role in winning the game for us.

It was a total team effort ? diving for loose balls, playing with our heads.

They just kicked our tails. They wanted it more than we did.

He kind of turned it around for us.

It was up and down for us; we played some good, some bad, some mediocre. We played very good defense at times. When we realized that we had to play, we played good defense.

I really don’t look forward to it. They haven’t won 20 games by accident. But we’ll see what happens.

When he’s on the floor, things happen. When he’s not on the floor, we just don’t have our go-to guy.

It’s a win. We’re up, we play great, we’re not up and it’s a struggle all night. Emotionally, we weren’t into it.

Obviously, it’s going to be a very tough game for us. You don’t win 17 straight games for nothing. We’ll just do the best that we can and see what the outcome is.

We took a lot of good shots in the first half, but they just weren’t going in. We played better defense in the second half, which led to easy baskets for us.

It’s good to see Brandon back. Now we have more depth in our post positions.

North Edgecombe will definitely be up for us. We’re the defending champions and we have to play like that.

You have to give North Edgecombe credit; they never stopped fighting. They have some incredible shooters.

We’re trying to play (Mills) 10-12 minutes a game … but he’s doing a good job.
