It’s certainly a relief. This was our most complete effort in quite a while, and that’s what we needed. We weren’t going to win any other way. It wasn’t going to come easy.

Penalty killing takes all four skaters and the goaltender working together. If one guy screws up on the PK, you’re in trouble. It’s very much a unit thing.

They can all play. They’ll be good players in this league, no question.

I’ve heard (the rumors) for a couple of months now. It usually happens shortly after Christmas, after the turkey digests. But I don’t know of a scenario why the team wouldn’t be here next year.

I project him as a 25-goal scorer for us. He’s a skill guy with energy. Usually those packages are split up into two different players.

Sometimes you just have to find that extra gear, that extra level. Even with the guys we’re missing, having everybody contribute in their roles will give us a chance to succeed any night.

He improved as much as anybody in our lineup from the beginning of the season.

Their 13 were much better than our 16 because they played as a team. We had a whole bunch of individuals.

The difference in these games was Moreland, who was just spectacular. He’s an excellent goalie. And, frankly, Stockton worked harder than we did in both games. That’s why they won.

He’s outstanding and pretty sharp against us. They surround him with an experienced defense that’s tough to crack.

I finally got a call back and they said there should have been a penalty. The player has to make an attempt to avoid contact, and the player clearly didn’t.

We take responsibility for what happened, but I feel the cost is too high for what has to be repaired. I don’t think it would cost $2,000.

I’m pursuing it, because we are responsible for it. But we definitely aren’t going anywhere remotely close to $2,000. I’m telling you. If they want to hose us, it would be fifty bucks.

He’s all heart. I’m assuming he’s done a good bit of street fighting in his day. He just knows how to fight.

I didn’t slam it. I simply closed it. It’s a new building, sometimes things go wrong.

He’s a very knowledgeable, efficient, hard-working trainer. He’s very deserving of this.

We talked about the things we should have done better and the players made the corrections today.

Whoever it was, there’s no excuse for that behavior. I’m sure it’s frustration. But there’s still no excuse.

We’ll pay a reasonable price, but we’re not paying $2,000. It’s not like we smashed light fixtures.

I was really impressed with the way David played against us while in Johnstown last season. We really believe he will help solidify our goaltending for the rest of this season.

We need to get a couple of ugly goals, something to go off somebody’s skate.

Logically, he wouldn’t have played, but he’s just such a competitor. He knew how important this game was. Unfortunately, a couple of our defensemen didn’t. Two or three of our guys had horrendous nights.

It’s going to be tough for him to do in the AHL what he does here. They’re bigger and tougher up there.

With the team we had at that point, we were fine. All the changes really, really killed us. We’ve been dealt blows in the worst positions.

He was the only player they wanted. We were not in a very good bargaining position.

As I told the league, I respect their opinion, but we’ve got an injured player who’s already missed three games and he’s likely going to miss six. The punishment is not remotely close to what...

Never. And it’s not much fun.

He’s a huge loss for us. One of our veterans. One of our captains. And the fact that he stayed and played (Friday) … I just have great respect for him.

The encouraging thing is, OK, guess what, this is the way we can play against one of the best teams in the league. And it’s frustrating because we don’t play like this more often.
