It was very exciting. It was tense. We knew we did well. But we knew it was in the judges hands so all we could do was sit and wait.

It was quite a surprise. They are ecstatic. The girls were screaming, laughing and crying. There were 53 teams in our division and it took a lot of hard work to win.

It was definitely one of their goals to bring home Memorial’s first national championship. They had heard all about the accomplishments of Victoria High, so they wanted to bring it home for Memorial.
