Abe had an outstanding day, his 200 time was the best time for us in the 12 years I’ve been here. ‘Shorty’ (Baca) had a tender hamstring but he ran good.

To have those relays qualified this time of the season is fantastic.

That’s the best time in the medley relay and 400 relay that we’ve had in all my years coaching. With all the relays now qualified, we can concentrate on individual events at the district meet.

Our program is about improvement on a weekly basis and today we had a dozen kids (in the girls meet) that really improved.

Derek has improved more than 20 feet in the last two weeks. If he continues to improve he has an opportunity to go to the state meet.

Our work ethic, top to bottom, is excellent and that’s why we do as well as we do. Some (places) don’t show that improvement is being made in all events.
