The way things are going now, this isn’t good for high school and it isn’t good for the clubs. And without a doubt, it isn’t good for the kids.

The bigger the game, the bigger he played. I mean, come on, shutting out a team like Gaither twice during the playoffs? That’s almost unheard of.

In the first 10 minutes it was like there was just one team out there in all (Cougar) maroon.

This was a great team win.

Griffin can’t do what he does without his teammates. He’s the first one to tell you that. But he’s a great finisher.

It was good because we got a chance to see a lot of guys play. And we had some nice finishes.

(Kuhlman) definitely deserved to make it. I try not to get too caught up in all-tournament teams, but he should have been on it.

The players benefit from the extra coaching, the individual instruction and the time that can be devoted, there’s no question about that.

It comes down to a choice for our players. If they choose to miss a practice because of something else, then there are consequences.
