Hopefully we can get our offense rolling against Hallsville.

They’re tired for the last three years of the losses in area. I truly believe with our senior leadership we can win this game.

I definitely feel like the team has developed some confidence, developed some unity and some momentum to go into district. Hopefully, we’ll be fighting it out with Henderson and Nacogdoches.

Most of the coaches I’ve talked to said they’re a young and very aggressive team. They’re supposedly starting five to six freshmen.

They’re the only ones that have put any kind of blemish on our district record. Last year, we had to beat them in overtime to finish 10-0 in district. They play well at our place.

When a team is young and aggressive, you never know what you’re going to get from game to game.

The other (loss) was in the area round (of the playoffs) against Wylie, 3-0. They’re returning a lot of quality younger players from last year.

I think the defense was actually the highlight. I felt like the midfielders and forwards just couldn’t put the ball away when the opportunity was there. Thank goodness the defense did play well.

It’s kind of hard to really tell because the two teams (Whitehouse and Henderson) we were playing against were real tough defensively. The defense is still making the plays, though.

We’re playing pretty good right now and we’ve built some momentum.

We’ve had a little time off to keep them fresh. It’s important they’re fresh going into the playoffs.

Those girls have started every game and hardly ever come off the field. Hopefully they can continue their defensive stand throughout the playoffs.

We’re finally getting those crossing passes out to her. Of course Carolyn’s scored all of our goals … but we’ll take that.
