I’m having a great time. It’s obviously fun, but I don’t think about baseball when I’m in bed. I think about how I’m able to breathe, how I’m able to sleep.

I was scared. I mean, no one’s going to get excited when someone tells you they’re going to have to cut your chest open and take out your heart.

After the surgery I could barely stand up. It’s really frustrating having to take slow steps back.
