It was chaotic. It was a mess.

Now I never dream of leaving here. Hurricane Katrina wasn’t a good thing, but maybe it was God’s way of putting us in a better place.

Everyday we were standing in line to get ice and water and there was no gas. You could see fights breaking out over ice — and one guy shot and killed his sister over ice.
