Any benefit of the doubt definitely goes with the skater. I think skating outgrew the 6.0 system. Is it perfect? No. But we are taking suggestions on how to make it perfect.

It’s no longer a crapshoot or mathematical, who was going to beat who. It’s back on the athlete and not on someone else’s misfortune.

It is a game. Can an athlete handle the program that has been choreographed? Do we want all Level 4 spins? Should I risk the quad? Those are the things that is sport.

There aren’t any more swing judges.

It has given the sport back to the athletes.

If the world champion falls, they get a minus-3.

The old 6.0 system was around for almost 100 years. I think skating outgrew the 6.0 system. Is (the new system) perfect? No, it’s not perfect.
