We’ve lost a fantastic person , and I just hope that we’re all better for him being here.

When you see it and it breathes and you see young people and their parents and their eyes aglow, that’s what really makes me proud.

And in Ft. Scott, it was pretty tough.

They weren’t going to let him have a (motel) room. There was a long time he didn’t feel welcome in Kansas.

When you meet a man who is over 80, who can communicate with young children the way he did, it was incredible to watch.

This is my sixth year here and this is my proudest day.
