The proposal you are given here will solve many problems. The children are going to get a state-of-the-art and brand new facility with enhanced programs. I don’t see how it can go wrong.

The staffing needs are fair. The needs of today’s students are far different and changing all the time. The school system has to be attractive to incoming employees. We want to attract incoming staff.

Transition came up quite a few times.

This is sound educationally, and it solves a myriad of problems within our system.

Based on current enrollment, state regulations would only allow us to build 130,000 square feet if we started from scratch. The Old Intermediate School is 160,000 square feet.

There is no Plan B. We will have to go back to the drawing board.

The idea of doing a fifth- and sixth-grade school is obviously a big change.

This time, they really didn’t solicit any input.
