[Shavers] has a long memory. He had a horrible MAC meet last year, but he’s another guy who trained really hard.

We had a good meet. I’m just real happy with everything.

He does better when there’s better competition. That hard work pays off. I think he thinks about shot put 20 hours a day.

Roy ran real well. Running that time with a 20-minute rest after the 400 is pretty impressive.

Our guys like to compete. You could put their mothers out there and they’d want to beat them. That’s what I like to see?who wants to compete?

Our depth is as good as any we’ve had since I took over. In the past, we relied on just winners.

I was pretty confident heading into Saturday that we didn’t have to do anything spectacular.

It’s fun to watch those guys. They get fired up and it just snowballs. You just want to keep that momentum going.

That’s a testament to the team. My daughter likes it. She took the trophy home and it’s in her room.
